A Winter Landscape in Gt Barrington Ma
I painted this from my friend's studio....I loved the reflection of the sunset in the river and the wiggly trees in the snow...the houses were not quite so humble I used my artist's license... I just sold it to a student of mine who appreciated the feeling it gave her...Winter is here again...Christmas is gone the New year approaches! Hope you have a HAPPY ONE...oil on canvas 16x20

Block Island Spring...Two Windows Two Views
We had a wonderful Spring weekend on the Island...In the painting on top we were having dinner at Larry and Karen's house out on West Side Road. The martini glass is half full , the flowers were just picked and the sun was setting quickly into the ocean....In the lower painting breakfast was on the table at Claudia's , the daffodils were fresh and the view out the window was of Calico Hill across the tidal inlet where the Captain of the Carol Jean and his wife live...No leaves on the trees yet anywhere! The Shad was just peeping out , absolutely beautiful. watercolor and gouache on paper 9x12"

Cabbages on a White Plate with Kniife
Here are several different angles of the same cabbage which I thought was very inspiring...like the miracle of nature, what could be more charming than a Savoy Cabbage? Not much in the quiet dark cold months of January and February....16x20 oil on canvas

The French Chair , Hat, Geraniums and Tangerines
A winter day in the studio , all is well . The chair was brought back from France by my friend's cousin. I bought it because I knew I wanted to paint it. The horse carved in the back of the chair was what got me. Well actually the whole chair got me. Then the tangerines up against the blue striped cloth...just add sun hat and geraniums and I was totally gone, in love...There is something so simple about the "Still Life"... Perhaps it is just because it is so "still" ? 30x30" oil on canvas
