Pansies

I noticed that my pansies planted by the front door were now officially dormant....ie dead? frozen? well as I looked at them I thought ...it will not be long before they are blooming again....hope springs eternal...a good thought for a day spent skiing on nothing but a sea of white snow...on top of the world...oil on canvas 14x11"
