Heirloom Tomatoes
So here is a fine example of some fancy tomatoes...and boy are they not only good to paint but also to eat...love the way the green works itself into the red...tis the season.....oil on canvas 24x24"
So envious. Tomato season is over here. They do say that the green is what provides the tomato with sweetness, so the varieties developed to all turn red at the same time (including beefsteak, big boy etc.) do not have the taste.
