Westside Block Island View

This is actually our screened in porch and the view on a hot Autumn afternoon...Flowers picked around the yard, a few left here and there...the sun streams in and the flag flies...nothing like a water view to clear the mind...30x40" oil on canvas

Greetings! My name is Lady Joan Elliot Ness John Singer Darwin. I have the greatest good fortune to find you giving thanks to our mutual interest in botany, as I am the great granddaughter of esteemed explorer Charles Darwin's chauffer and personal pilot. My great grandfather Mgbeewa Brad Angelina Romannoff was pleasure to fly Mr. Darwin to all locations of globe, thereby instilling in Grandpa a supreme reverence for all growing things. I see you are Fernhill so I know you share these things. To be in truth great grandfather towards the termination of his earthly time became confused in his love of Our Mother Earth, always planting his own feet in pots and perennial borders, and making a muddy mess as I know you can well imagine. I used to tell poor Grandmother "Do not worry is better this way than grandfather manifest his other love of American gangster films and end up with cement booties like poor Mr. Hoffa." Dear grandfather liked to raid our pantry and confiscate all alcohol and then handcuff my brothers and myself, calling us with pet names of favorite criminals, like "Ice Pick" and "Mad Dog." and "Scarface,"
To my joy I see you show your love to the world with exquisite painting and I, too, share this great love of art which comes natural by me as granddaughter of esteemed John Singer Sargent.

I know there was great purpose in my writing to you this day, but I have forgotten what was this purpose. I will write again soon, Dear Leafy Sister. LOL Lady Joan
