Iris and French Cloth

Todays efforts ...as I started painting I said to myself...why am I painting this flower? and I answered ,because it is so beautiful....and I love the colors....this was one Iris stem left over  from a bouquet I brought to a friend at the hospital.... which he loved....the other flowers were orange African Daisys so that is why I picked the orange fabric....oil on canvas  12x12"

I find this little painting delicious. When I click on it and blow it up in size the colors explode. It is an iris on a table cloth, but more than that it is a celebration of color that draws me in and and stirs my soul! Love the vibrancy of your painting. Richard
